Several months ago Kevin started working with Mr. Klotz on the perfect avionics package for his nice Cessna T210. After several emails and Mr. Klotz flying up to visit our facility, a decision was made. By the way; I'd encourage anyone that is thinking about a major avionics installation, visit the shop that is going to complete the installation before hands are shook. Being we have not one of the nicest but THE nicest avionics shop in the country, we welcome aircraft owners to visit us anytime they are in the area.
The old ARC equipment is coming out and we will be installing a host of new equipment. To start, we will install a S-Tec System 55X that has GPSS built-in, Auto-trim, altitude pre-select, horizon flight director, an autopilot annunicator, King KG-102A compass system, custom panel lighting, Sandel SN-3308 EHSI, Garmin GMA 340 audio panel, Garmin GNS 430 GPS/Nav/Com/MFD, UPSAT SL30 Nav/com, UPSAT MD200 navigation indicator, UPSAT MX20 giant multi-function display with ChartView, Garmin GTX 327 transponder, AICDIII Stereo system by the boys down in Ramona and the icing on the cake is the GDL49 weather adapter that will display weather from just about anywhere on the GNS430. We are installing the first GDL49 system and I'm excited to see just how good this system operates. There may be more equipment to install as time goes forward.
The question is... Will all of the different types of avionics manufactures involved, will everything perform as it should? I'm taking bets it will.
